While it is extremely rare, it is possible for a woman to become pregnant when she has no uterus. This is only possible when a woman still has her ovaries and fallopian tubes. When this happens, the eggs are released and become fertilized. Typically, the embryo will not have anywhere to attach and the pregnancy will result in a miscarriage.
However, there are other times when the embryo will attach to another organ or to the wall of the abdomen. When this occurs, the woman’s life is in grave danger. As the embryo begins to grow, it will begin negatively affecting the organs around it and may cause the woman to be in danger of death.
Unfortunately, there is no way that a woman can carry a healthy pregnancy without a uterus. In some instances, women were able to use a donor uterus and eggs and carry a pregnancy to term. Keep in mind though that this is an extremely rare circumstance and will be very difficult to achieve.
The best option for women who want to become mothers and have no uterus is to consider adoption or using a surrogate. This will allow them to remain healthy, but will still give them the option of becoming mothers.
